My son got out of the hospital on Monday afternoon, was home for long enough to have a nap (a total of 2½ hours) before his temperature spiked again up to 39C, so back we went to A&E.
They let him home yesterday after an overnight stay because the injections stimulating his bone marrow seemed to be working. But I had to take him back today for an antibiotic injection; and will have to do so tomorrow as well as on Friday. Hopefully after that he can take it orally.
Anyway, his chemo was postponed from last Thursday, to Monday, to this Thursday; to finally *fingers crossed* this Friday.
Btw, my bum still aches from all those hours spent sitting on a visitors' chair. A small price to pay in order to have him home.
Anyone else fancy a trip to Heathrow?
On a completely personal note; I've finally escaped from the bedroom! I'd been stuck in there since Thursday night, feeling sorry for myself, you see. On the plus side, I was able to lie in bed and rewatch the whole 10 episodes of "Trapped". Can't think why I suddenly thought to watch it... but it made being tucked up in bed feel wonderfully warm.
This is so hard to cope with...
I am sat at work without a working computer (a problem between the graphics card driver and Windows 10 apparently), discovering that the LJ phone app is even more rubbish than I first thought it was - you cannot answer a comment down a list but can delete it. Really helpful stuff. Not.
Where's a huge pile of filing when you need it....
I am a very forgiving person but even I have my limits, so this afternoon I took the final step and did it.
Yes, my friends, I have ordered a new laptop.
And not a moment too soon, it would seem; because my laptop has continually crashed this evening. And I can't muscle up the energy to care about it anymore.
